Macaria, Goddess of the Blessed Death
The Longsuffering Maiden, The Final Reward, Macaria is the patron goddess of mortals who have suffered continuously in their lives to the point that they have given up hope, as well as the mistress of Elysium. Killing oneself in despair is an unnacceptable act in New Atlantis; and those who feel driven to chase after death flock to Macaria, who offers a meaningful end to a life that was devoid of it. Only those worshipers of hers who have truly been tested to the point of breaking are welcomed by Macaria when their time finally comes; all who faked adversity and used her name as a crutch find themselves unwelcome in any afterlife, and fade into nothingness.
