Horus, God of Speed and Magical Offense
Horus is the chief patron of the Aven people, as it was his desire to cleanse what he saw as 'taint' in Harpies and Sirens that brought about their existence. Of the Avian Gods, Horus is the most preoccupied with attack and body-modification magic. Most true warmages are devotees of Horus, and almost all of his priests are skilled arcane casters in addition to the divine power he grants them. Temples to Horus will generally have large training areas for practicing combat magic in a safe environment; and Star Mages whose magic tends to be destructive in nature will sometimes be sent to one of those temples as a child to become pages, if they can't control it.
