Artemis, Goddess of Femininity and Sustenance Hunting

Artemis is the patron of hunters who live in harmony with the land to provide for themselves and their family. She abhors those who hunt merely for fun or sport, and her clerics are charged with protecting the land from over hunting or abuse. In addition to her role as the huntress, Artemis is mythologized as the most beautiful of all the gods or goddesses; and all of her highest clergy are women because of this.
There are periodic festivals to Artemis in areas where migratory animals travel to mark the beginning of hunting seasons. No priest or priestess of The Huntress may engage in sexual acts until they have been discharged from their oaths of piety. This does not apply to an individual's life before joining the Sect of Artemis, and many of her sacred hunters have children from before they became devout. Clerics of Artemis tend to fall into one of two categories; the young who want to use the Oaths of Artemis to forestall suitors, and the aged who have already lived a life and want to find a form of meaning or enlightenment.
