Aegle, Goddess of Healthy Radiance
Paradoxically the youngest child of Asclepius and Epione while also being depicted as the oldest of their daughters, Aegle was born gifted with the divine nature of all her sisters as well as their parents. Aegle is immune to all disease, and according to myth her body radiates healing energy that closes any would she receives with no scar to show for it.
Because she represents an impossible standard of health and life, active worship of Aegle is rather rare. Her gift of healing radiance is sometimes given to mortals; something that begins to become apparent as the individual grows up without ever falling ill and with their injuries healing far faster than normal. When these chosen individuals realize their gift they are sent to a Temple to Asclepius, where they can be taught to project their life-giving power to others as priests of Aegle. These priests posses the ability to transfer some of their overflowing life energy into others, and almost all healing magic in New Atlantis is practiced by these priests.
