Torvin Truesliver was husband to Nora Truesliver and a respected stonemason in the Dwarven Enclave, known for his steady hands and eye for detail.

In 1490 DR, Torvin was initially thought to have contracted a simple miners' cough, common among those who worked with stone dust. However, the illness progressed unusually quickly, eventually revealing itself as the dreaded Stonelung, a rare condition that gradually crystallizes the respiratory system. Despite consultations with healers from the Temple of Tyr and even a visiting elven herbalist, the disease proved resistant to magical and herbal treatments alike. He passed away after a painful eight-month decline, his body gradually hardening from within

What distinguished Torvin most was his gentle temperament, unusual among dwarven craftsmen. While passionate about his work, he rarely raised his voice and was known for his patience with apprentices. His marriage to Nora was viewed as a perfect balance her fiery practicality complemented by his thoughtful calm.

He designed and built much of the Hearth & Hall inn alongside Nora when they were newlyweds and rebuilt it after the Fire of Neverwinter. His skilled hands personally carving the massive hearth that remains the centerpiece of the establishment.

When Nora looks at the delicate stone latticework above the fireplace, his final project before becoming bedridden, she still traces the subtle pattern that spells out their initials intertwined with Berronar's symbol, a secret message of devotion visible only to those who know where to look.

Death of Torvin Truesliver (1490 DR)

Torvin contracted Stonelung, a rare condition that gradually crystallizes the respiratory system. Despite consultations with various healers, the disease proved resistant to treatments. Nora maintained both the inn and her husband's care with fierce determination.

As Torvin's condition worsened, many came to pay respects, including Freya Battlehammer—a smith who had been mentored by the couple. Torvin passed away after an eight-month decline, his funeral attended by nearly every dwarf in Neverwinter.

In the leadership vacuum that followed, Nora declined offers to formally lead the community, focusing instead on preserving Torvin's legacy. Freya, with Nora's quiet endorsement, stepped forward to assume Torvin's position as the enclave's representative to the Chasm District Council.
