Subject: Regulation of Unlicensed Smithing Operations
Date: 10th of Kythorn

In light of recent findings regarding unsafe smithing practices in the Chasm District, the following directives are to be implemented immediately and without exception:

1. All smithing operations not officially registered with the Ironmongers' Guild are to be thoroughly inspected for compliance with safety regulations.
2. Any forge found operating without proper ventilation, fire containment, or structural reinforcement is to be SHUT DOWN until proper modifications can be made.
3. Any smith refusing inspection or found in repeated violation is to have their equipment rendered TEMPORARILY INOPERABLE until compliance can be assured.
4. All unauthorized metallurgical experimentation, particularly involving materials recovered from the Chasm depths, is to be IMMEDIATELY HALTED, with all such materials confiscated for proper analysis by guild experts.
5. Enforcement officers are authorized to use REASONABLE FORCE to ensure compliance where necessary.
6. Officers are to carry and display their guild-issued purple-tinted daggers as symbols of their authority during all enforcement actions.

The integrity of our craft and the safety of Neverwinter depend on strict adherence to proper smithing practices. No exceptions will be tolerated.

We cannot allow Neverwinter's reconstruction to be jeopardized by unsafe practices or dangerous materials.
