The Darkwood
A region of Neverwinter forest only known to few. Noone's been in and come out sane.
The trees here grow at an unnatural rate, literally growing in front of your eyes. They tower above the rest of the forest, and it's said that hags and monsters reside in the cursed land.
The canopy of the trees forms a near-solid layer above the ground, permanently shrouding the place in darkness, hence the name.
"Four days we spent camped near that cursed place. We chopped and chopped but for every tree we cut down it seemed 5 more grew back. One day I was cutting, and trees starting growing around me, as if trying to trap me. I saw it happening! They grew at about an inch every 5 seconds! I barely managed to escape with my life.
