Lady of the Tryst

Seraphina is the Celestial who walks with lovers, ignites the heart, and binds families together. As the Goddess of Love, Fertility, Family, Emotion, Passion, and the Matron of the Hearth and Homestead, Seraphina strengthens the intimate bonds of mortals. She is strongly connected to beauty, devotion, and love in all its forms, including the more negative manifestations, including possession. The Lady of Love is often considered a mediator of the gods, overseeing struggles and conflicts and inclining her divine counterparts towards diplomacy. To mortals, she is invoked in many ceremonies and rituals, including marriage, childbirth, miscarriages, and intercourse. Her soothing aura guides mortals during these endeavors and inclines them toward the path of love and warmth. As mentioned, she can equally represent darker manifestations of mortal emotions, causing some to view her as a more neutral force, representing the raw power of emotion as a cosmic force. In most cultures, Seraphina is pleased by charming trysts, bold proclamations of love, and romance beyond the confines of family and tradition.

Intimacy of the Heart

Few things are more lamented by Seraphina than the mortal inclination toward apathy and lack of understanding. For some mortals, the most intimate experiences are the mere acts of forming deep connections with others. Seraphina empowers open hearts to seek closeness with others, for souls to come together. As such, devotees of the Lady of the Tryst regularly engage in feasts, gatherings, and drunken revelries known as bacchanal. Priests of Seraphina are encouraged to have many bonds of love, lust, and intimacy. In many cultures, they even engage in so-called rituals of the flesh, involving erotic instruction and sexual communion with each other in a group. Wine is the principal core of her rituals, consumed throughout and sprinkled upon adherents to grant them the Lady's Blessing.
