Neravina

The Pale Queen

In many nations and polities, there is tension between temporal and spiritual authorities. In Mistvall, however, both powers are united in the person of Neravina. As Queen and High Priestess, she leads both the Queendom and the Church. She does not make decisions alone; rather, she receives counsel and rules with her council of priestesses and matriarchs of the various towns throughout the halidom. Neravina's regnal name is the Snow-Poet; she is well known for her patronage of the arts, especially poetry and the written word. She has personally been seen at poetry recital events in the Queendom and abroad. As the head of House Agbath, Neravina's pedigree is fabled and mythical, and she is the latest in a long line of rulers, all of whom have been of the Agbath family. Her family is synonymous with Mistvall and the Snow Elves. While her initial reign was deeply popular and concerned with the day-to-day statecraft, more and more over the last century, her public appearances have dwindled. She gained continental fame after taking Karriath, a famous warrior and successful rebel slave, for a husband and Prince-Consort.
