Daeruin is home to many Snow Elves. Most languish in slavery, while others remain free yet persecuted. However, only one is a noble among the Dark Elves. Midari was born in Mistvall to a noble family of the Snow Elves. While he was only a baby, his parents were slain, and he was taken and adopted by Lord Helas, a Dark Elven noble from Daeruin. This unique circumstance has rendered Midari in a constant struggle between his Snow Elven ancestry and his Dark Elven family. Having rarely, if ever, left the confines of his family estate, he has led a privileged and sheltered life. He's met servants but hasn't witnessed oppression. As the war between the Snow Elves and the Dark Elves has broken out over the issue of slavery, Midari is forced by noble duty to join the fight, though which side he fights for remains to be seen.
