Bastelix

God of the Sea, Shipbuilding, and Natural Disasters

"You doubt the fury of a god? Watch as the ferocious seas and hideous storms descend upon your township like a thousand plagues!"

The Gladiator of the Seas

The natural world can be a fearsome test for sailors and those who dwell on the coast. In many of the sea-facing towns and cities of the continent, shrines to Bastelix can be found, offering protection and guidance upon the sea. Also known as the Gladiator of the Sea, Bastelix is the God of the Sea, Shipbuilding, Seafarers, and Natural Disasters, and he is the patron of sailors and navigators. He dwells in the seas of Sol and returns arrogance with tempest as he thunders through the ocean upon his divine chariot. To those who pay him due respect, he protects mercantile and naval vessels in his domain, offering safe passage and calm winds. He is widely regarded as the most wrathful, fearsome, and vengeful of the celestials, finding little room for mercy and compassion. His fury can take the form of tempestuous storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, monsoons, floods, and earthquakes. Bastelix is known to many cultures and can take on the names Basil, Basilio, Laslow, and Vaseelix.
