The city of Boston is abruptly deleted from reality in an event that remains unexplained to this day.
The Boston Deletion. The entire city is scooped out of existence along with millions of residents and the headquarters of Hartwell Dynamics. The Eastern Alliance blames Free State terrorists, but the Free Staters deny any involvement. It is later revealed that Hartwell Dynamics had uncovered something unusual during a resource survey in south Africa and had brought it back to Boston for study shortly before the Deletion.
