Nightstalker

Nightstalkers have been around for as long as mortals have known of the palelands connection to Natia and the horrors that inhabit the dark mirror world. It is said the first Nightstalkers formed in order to fight back against the recently discovered vampire incursion, vowing to hunt down the members of each and every vampire bloodline. This would lead to entire clans of Nightstalkers being formed in order to combat the newly formed vampire houses through the centuries. These would lead on to become intense feuds between Vampire bloodlines and individual Nightstalkers which would stretch on for entire generations, being carried on by each Nightstalkers Subsequent Apprentice.   But it was not just vampires that they would be find themselves fighting, but the many different Polymorphic curses that would spreadforth from the pale lands, infecting even the Nightstalkers themselves at times. The most common of these cursess was Lycanthropy which caused its bearer to turn into a bloodlusted wolf-like being. While some clans of Nightstalkers accept those who become cursed and seek to use their enemies strengths against them, there are others that remain purists in their ideals and believe that these brothers have gone down a dark path and are close to becoming abominations.   In the current age the various clans of Nightstalkers are spread far and wide across the world, with little communication between eachother but they remain within the background still keeping the mortals of Natia safe.
