Darkscale Spire

Darkscale spire is a giant unfinished tower built in the southern Ibergulian plains. Construction started 4922AGD for reasons not known to any but the dragons who ordered it be built. Construction halted however around 4998AGD when the Northern Dragon Lords resources started being quickly redirected towards stopping the Sorvian Rebellion. After the fall of the dragons the government of Ibergul tried to figure out the towers purpose only to conclude that it had no purpose of any importance and simply abandoned the unfinished tower.   Following the abandonment of the tower it didn't take long for homeless refugees from the war to start making their homes in the different sections of the tower. A society would soon develop in the tower amongst those now living there leading to some sections becoming more dangerous to live in than others as denizens vie for power. Some floors would even develop their own distinct cultures that differed from that of other floors.   The government of Ibergul seeing this as a threat to the social stability of the area have begun taking notice of the large amounts of people living in the old tower and are now sending their agents to take appropriate action and to investigate rumours that a dragon cult has formed in the upper floors of the spire hellbent on finishing the construction of the spire.   The tower can be described as incredibly tall and is said to have 138 floors to ascend, using some kind of arcane transportation system along with stairs in order to quickly traverse up and down the spire. It was made using black dragon obsidian, which is a form of obsidian enchanted by the breath of a powerful black dragon. Causing not just the towers famously void black look but it to also cast a domineering aura across the lands it towers over.
