Liminakl

Liminakl is a form of phantasmal food made manifest, usually by a powerful spirit or other undead entity. Sometimes a spirit can be so submerged in the strong emotions related to its memories, that it may be able to physically manifest aspects of these memories, such as furniture, weather, or in this case, food.   Liminakl can resemble any kind of food familiar to the spirit, but when consumed by a mortal, its flavour is unlikely to match the appearance. Instead the flavour may reflect the spirit's emotions. For example, if it's obsession is that of a love affair gone wrong, the flavour may be bitter or abnormally tart. But if a spirit is reliving a warm memory of family and friends, the food may be enticingly sweet, reflecting the spirit's happy nostalgia.   It is highly dangerous for a mortal to consume liminakl however, as this can induce the condition Spirisurge. Some evil and extremely intelligent spirits or undead entities have been able to deliberately manifest liminakl in a form they feel likely to entice a hungry adventurer, in order to cause the condition. They then work to bend the new spirit-form to their will, making them a new servant in their deadly entourage.
