“No, he’s too far gone,” Jerrod said.   Jerrod felt guilty, because he knew this wasn’t true. He rationalized to himself, "He did have it coming, after all. And I can't spare the scrap for a complete stranger."   Jerrod plugged into the robot’s mind, but couldn’t find anything else about Eli.   They dug the fun looking robot out of the rubble, but left him alone in the demolished, broken down park, unable to walk.
