St. Pepe
Out of all the peoples of Nascindor, it could be argued that the Seekers are the most courageous, for they brave the depths of the Black Forest on a daily basis.
But these are skilled men and women, trained to specifically face the dangers of the Black Forest and armed to the teeth with anointed metal. Among these hardened knights lived an individual so brash, so cocksure that he strolled into the Black Forest with nary a thread upon his body.
This individual, known to his comrades at the time as Ser Pepe was a house cat that became a honorary Seeker and was later sainted by the Church of Resounding Truth when he passed away.
The knights managed to catch the skittish feline and, after a brief struggle wresting its catch from its teeth, found that it was wearing a collar that had dug into its neck. Surmising that it must be painful, the seekers cut the collar and noticed there was a rusted nametag attached to the leather strap. Barely legible, they could still make out the name engraved in it in large bold lettering.
"Pepe".
The seekers, members of the Circle of Dawn, took the injured cat with them back to the Gilded Spire where the support staff nursed him back to health. It soon became clear that Pepe had become attached to the knights that had rescued him, and it was nigh impossible to stop the cat from following them when they left on their patrols.
It did not take long for the maids and servants to stop trying, since it seemed Pepe was more than capable of handling himself in the company of the knights.
Pepe also proved an excellent hunter and exterminator of smaller, but no less dangerous to human life, hatelings. Many parasitic creatures fell to his claws and fangs before they had a chance to pounce on unaware seekers and burrow under their skin.
Pepe's greatest act of service, which would ultimately lead to him being granted sainthood, was when he led a squad of seekers back home. This particular squad had been ambushed by two Grimespawns and in the chaos of the combat that ensued, they had completely lost their sense of direction.
After a moment of deliberation, one of the knights noticed that Pepe was circling their feet in a more insistent manner than normal. When they directed their attention to him, Pepe began to make his way through the underbrush and the men followed.
Less than half an hour later, the group emerged from the treeline, having exited the forest to the outskirts of the Mourning Plateau. The men rejoiced and carried Pepe back to the Gilded Spire, singing songs in his honor.
When it came time for him to leave behind this mortal coil, he retreated into the small chapel at the base of the spire, where he laid down for his final rest below an effigy of the Progenitor. He was found by an Orator the next morning, having peacefully passed away in his sleep.
The fellowship honored Pepe's passing with a vigil, after which his body was transferred to the Halls of the Honored Dead, underneath the Everlasting Edifice in Glarithia.
After his internment, he was sainted as the Saint of Wayward Knights, offering his protection to those who have lost their way. A fresco in his likeness was installed in the Everlasting Edifice, and pilgrims still visit his shrine to ask for his protection for their journeys to come.

Early Life
In the aftermath of the First Host incursion, a squad of Seekers securing the border of the Black Forest near the Craven Court ran into a cat that was limping through the underbrush with a small hateling in its teeth. The knights managed to catch the skittish feline and, after a brief struggle wresting its catch from its teeth, found that it was wearing a collar that had dug into its neck. Surmising that it must be painful, the seekers cut the collar and noticed there was a rusted nametag attached to the leather strap. Service
Over the years, Pepe proved himself an invaluable ally to the seekers he accompanied. Oftentimes Pepe would yowl and hiss way before any of the knights would be aware of any dangers, effectively alerting the men that something was afoot nearby.Pepe also proved an excellent hunter and exterminator of smaller, but no less dangerous to human life, hatelings. Many parasitic creatures fell to his claws and fangs before they had a chance to pounce on unaware seekers and burrow under their skin.

Death and Sainthood
Pepe served the Circle of Dawn honorably for over a decade. Even after he had become too old to take part in patrols, he would hunt mice in the larders and storage rooms of the Gilded Spire. When it came time for him to leave behind this mortal coil, he retreated into the small chapel at the base of the spire, where he laid down for his final rest below an effigy of the Progenitor.
