Session 6: Tavern Trouble

As night began to fall over Nupstedt the party's search for Oswin lead them to The Dancing Pony, a tavern in Nupstedt where you can get ale by the bucket. After outwitting the bouncer at the tavern by insulting his mother the party managed to make their way inside. The tavern was bussling with activity, people were drinking and dancing to the funky tunes played by a band of suspiciously hairy travelling musicians. There, amidst all the merriment the party managed to find Oswin, drunk as a skunk, dancing on top of the bar. Plum didn't hesitate to join him but Oswin's moves were too powerful and Plum could barely keep up. However his attempts were greatly appreciated by both Oswin and a rather heavy set bar wench, who had taken a fancy to him. So much so in fact that she decided to take him down into her Sex Dungeon hidden in the wine cellar.
While the seductive Puss was getting frisky, Orn found some company of his own, 3 dwarven brothers who'm he befriended in hopes of gaining more information about the mysterious disappearance of his long lost master, Anger-Fist. Unfortunately they weren't of much help.
On the other side of the bar Roda had also made a new friend, a tiny elf who was very interested in his woodcarving skills, and thus he had decided to carve something for the little man out of the finest block of oak.

However, the merriment was not to last, as the evening suddenly came to a halt when a well dressed PD officer and his guards entered the tavern and scared all the patrons away. All except for the 3 party members. Yes, even hiding in a secret BDSM basement didn't keep Plum safe.
The man had an interesting conversation with the 3 of them. He was looking to arrest Lucius and quietly interrogated the three of them. He seemed to know a lot about each party member's home region and spoke fluent dwarvish.
Being a calm and intelligent man he eventually let the party go after he got the information he needed. After this eerie encounter the party decided to head to bed.

Once in bed a stark naked Roda started sleepwalking. He heard a voice in his head, wanting him to go to the woods. Once there it was revealed that this compulsion to go into the woods was caused by Forsythe, a fortune teller who had tried to scam poor Roda earlier in town. He was also not the only one, there was a circle of people already waiting for him, all in various states of undress. In the middle stood Forsythe. She welcomed Roda and used her tarokka deck to tell him about his future, for a fee of course. Compelled, Roda found himself unable to deny her offer.
She pulled 3 card from the deck, representing the past, present and future. In his past she saw the executioner, refering to the shenanigans in Shilderheim. In the present she saw cloaked figures with ill intentions and in the future, she saw betrayal. She, of course, expected to be paid for providing him with this knowledge. However, a mysterious figure interfered. The Onion Knight. He protected Roda and his belongings and scared Forsythe off, causing her to flee deep into the woods. He and Roda had a short talk about his current onion complexion before he too disappeared and Roda was left walking back to the tavern, alone.

He arrived just in time to see Plum and Orn's slumber being interrupted by the wraiths who had finally managed to catch up to them. Fortunately one of Tirus' Valkyries managed to protect Orn from from the wraith's deadly grasp, sacrificing herself in the process. Needless to say, a battle ensued and while the party was victorious the wraiths were out for revenge! A girl Roda had flirted with earlier that night, named Jamie, had arrived to bring Roda a small romantic gift before going to bed. The wraiths seized this opportunity and used their deadly touch, causing the girl to instantly drop dead. Roda tried to save her, even asked Orn to use his healing touching but nothing would work.
Exhausted, the party ended up going back to bed. Roda took Jamie's body upstairs with him and laid her down in his bed. He sat next to her all night and cried himself to sleep. However he was not ready to give up just yet. The next morning he took her body to the nearest temple, a temple dedicated to Sigmar, hoping there was something that could be done, anything to bring her back. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done. Leaving her body there on the altar, Roda returned to the tavern, concluding our party's adventure for now...
