A great battle between the creatures of the sea and the mightiest Dragon to roam Namiend.
Directly east of the Northern Continent there was a lush island. In its center, a giant lake. As was customary, the god Vōddőr planted a dragon to protect the lake and its surrounding areas. However, this dragon was greedy, and wished to control this island, so when the stranded races began to hunt near his lake, he hunted them down. He killed them all, and continued to hunt for food to his hearts pleasure. Betrayed, Vōddőr sent a new dragon to kill this one. This new dragon's name was Dragwen, the mightiest dragon of his age, and for many years to come. He came and slaughtered the evil dragon, but after some time, he fell in love with the hedonistic and greedy lifestyle of the dragon of old, so he continued it, confident that he could defeat anything Vōddőr sends to defeat him. Vōddőr again sent something to defeat Dragwen, however nothing he sent could stop the beast. So Vōddőr called upon the creatures of the sea to go and fight against Dragwen. They all crawled upon the land of that beautiful island and began to fight against the dragon. During this great battle, the dragon's flame was so powerful that it turned the dirt and wood and everything there into sand. Bits of sand turned into glass and the water of the lake was evaporated instantly from the heat. None of this could stop the onslaught of creatures from the deep, and finally Dragwen was felled. His skeleton now lays at the end of the last river on the island. The creatures of the sea stayed upon this new desert island, and because of the gift of the gods in the age of evolution, they adapted to this desert life quickly making the desert a habitat for these beasts.
