Rules for Tiny Lineages
Tiny Lineages are not typically suited for the Adventurer lifestyle. A 1st level Hylian adventurer might be considered talented by their own kind, but a 1st level Minish or Fairy would be considered exceptional by their own kind. When creating a Tiny character, you may consider your character to already be experienced and in possession of rare talent among their own people.
- Normally a Tiny creature can only attack a creature within its own space, but due to your extraordinary talent, you can make melee attacks at a range of five feet.
- You gain no benefit from Reach weapons and can only wield Light melee weapons and ranged weapons lacking the Heavy property. Your ranged weapons have half their normal range.
- Most non magical equipment is not scaled for Tiny lineages. In a Fairy or Minish village, Tiny equipment is about 1/4th of the price of normal equipment. In a Human village, such specialized equipment might run at twice the price due to the difficulty in constructing them. Magical equipment usually have enchantments that will cause the item to adjust to fit the size of its owner.
- You have a maximum Strength score of 13 and have disadvantage on Strength Saving Throws.
- You can occupy and move through the spaces of Medium or larger creatures, even if they are hostile.
- You take 1d6 fall damage for every twenty-five feet, instead of every ten feet.
- You count as a Small creature when your spells or features require a cone or radius effect centered on you.
- Some features, such as Fey Passage or Tiny Target, will not function if your size category is increased in any way. Such features will usually specify "due to your Tiny size".
