Thornvoice Emberstalk
Thornvoice Emberstalk Ashmantle (a.k.a. The Fire in the Fog)
Thornvoice Emberstalk is the fire-hearted deputy of Mistthorn Clan — a vigilant guardian and bold strategist. Where Mistseer Lunalithe is dreamlike and quiet, Emberstalk is action incarnate: warm, fierce, and unshakably loyal. He serves as the clan’s forward eyes and sharpened claws, defending borders, training Fogsprouts, and organizing patrols with tireless energy. While not attuned to spirits like Lunalithe, his instincts are sharp and his devotion to the Velvetmires unshakable.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
Born to a lineage of border defenders, Emberstalk was raised with discipline and high expectations. His mother, Brambleflare Ashmantle, was a legendary Mirebound (elder), and her shadow loomed over him until he carved his own path. He trained relentlessly and volunteered for the most dangerous missions — earning the trust of Lunalithe by saving her life from a rogue spiritbound.
Education
Trained by senior warriors and eventually mentored by the previous Thornvoice, a now-deceased veteran named Duskspring.
Employment
Current Thornvoice; former lead stalker and border warden
Accomplishments & Achievements
- Fended off a marsh drake solo during the last Greenmire Bloom
- Trained three current warriors who became squad leaders
- Negotiated temporary peace with the Whispermoss Tribe of swampfoxes
Failures & Embarrassments
- Once accidentally led a young patrol into a cursed bog — resulting in multiple injuries

Mental Trauma
Carries guilt over his younger brother’s disappearance in the mist. He believes it was his fault for not listening to his fears.
Intellectual Characteristics
Pragmatic, sharp-minded when it comes to terrain, battle, and group coordination. Slightly dismissive of abstract thought and omens unless shown clearly.
Morality & Philosophy
Believes that the Velvetmire grants strength to those who earn it. Deeply respects tradition, but bends rules if it protects the clan. “Action before vision.”
Taboos
- Loathes unnecessary secrecy
- Avoids dream-sharing (except with Lunalithe) due to discomfort with losing control of his thoughts
