Vampires

Vampires are the highest ranking members of the corporeals, gifted with superior intellect among the undead, they control the armies and make up most of the political sphere. Vampires are usually on the skinny side of the spectrum and tend to wear extravagant clothing, just as they like to adorn their armor with gems and jewels.   Vampires live on Tinaar, the western most island of Raran'thors sister islands, a cold place where only death lives, they reside in ancient castles and fortresses left by their ancestors, where they hold lavish dinner parties like the living nobles do, the residents of Raran'thor has managed to create alcohol that can intoxicate the dead, which made their balls quite better.   Vampires are usually lean in build and have lithe faces, their skin often pale, and their hair color ranging from white to black, they are charming by nature and often have eyes that can enthrall people weak of will. Vampires are addicted to blood in the same way a Riggardian bum is addicted to Undal root, they need it, it sustains them, without it they will eventually die.¨   Vampires often sire offspring, one of the many gifts granted by Mordred in the early days, this is also done with the mortal races, either by force or by love, these offsprings are called Dhampirs. Halfbreeds, not looked upon with the greatest favor, but often these halfbreeds are sired by lords and ladies of the Vampire court, and therefore call for respect.   Dhampirs look and act much like their immortal parents, and are raised in the comforts of their noble home, for the untrained eye it can be hard to discern a dhampir from a vampire. However there is one difference between these two, one major difference, a dhampir has a pulse, where a vampire does not. The stronger the genes of the mortal parent the faster the beat of a dhampirs heart.
