Wither Poison
Wither poisoning is something only very few have survived, although there have been thousands of victims. It is the deadliest poison in the entire Chronoverse, and originates from the Underworld, specifically the Soul Valley, where withered skeletons can inflict it. However, some have discovered that the poison, if applied carefully, can be imbued in arrows and even swords and spears. There are few to no medicines for it, making those poisoned doomed to die.
Transmission & Vectors
Inflicted by withered skeletons, the Wither itself, and wither poison.
Symptoms
Nausea, disorientation, melting flesh, black-turning bones, and eventually, death
Treatment
The only known treatment for wither poisoning is a special potion brewed with these ingredients: goldroot, soulsand, dragon herb, crystal dust and honey.
Hosts & Carriers
The Withered, as they're called, carry the poison in them, though it is unknown how, as they don't seem to be infected by it.
Epidemiology
Most infections are known from Underworld invasions, where the victims are attacked by "the Withered", aka withered skeletons, the Wither and other infected creatures.
