Caomei is a skilled cook and single mother who works at the Squealing Rabbit, in Lightreach. Occasionally, she does some adventuring on the side, to make some extra money to treat her kids and work towards her dreams.

Personal history
Caomei was born in Lightreach, among immigrants who made the long journey from far away lands, though little remains of the cultures her ancestry came from but the naming conventions, and a few recipes passed down through the ages, due to the degree of assimilation.
Within Lightreach, her exotic heritage always stood out, which was never necessarily a good thing in the city with fairly minimal diversity, but she made it by.
In her early adulthood, she married a sailor, having two kids together. Around this time, she began working at the Squealing Rabbit, practicing her talents at imbuing food with magic, on the side. Of course, working around drunken men, Caomei had to learn how to defend herself in a safe manner, as well, leading to some skill in unarmed combat.
When Caomei was twenty-four, her husband disappeared at sea, leaving her alone to raise their two kids.
More recently, she's had more opportunities to get some free time, taking some interest in adventuring to help keep the area safe for her childrens' futures. Though, she also has side motives of getting rich quick, and collecting ingredients to experiment with cooking.
