Religions
There are many religions in Mytheria, with are three primary ones.
The first, and the largest, is Dragonic. Dragonic is the worship of the seasonal dragons, Sol, Dragoon, Yin, and Yang. There is also a heavy influence of stars, with a general belief that in death all life returns to the stars in Dragoons Great Mane. Ancestors are also sacred, since they have returned to Dragoon. One might pray to their great grandparents for good grades, health, or anything that requires the wisdom from a life well lived. There are no formal religious leaders, but Elders are considered sacred.
The other two largest religions are subsets of Dragonic. They refer to themselves as Followers of Yin or Followers of Yang. Couatl worship Yang, the sea serpent of flexibility, change, and masculinity. The Axolotl worhship Yin, the sea serpent of tradition, knowledge, and femininity.
Followers or Yang live nomadic lifestyles. The only exception to this rule is the Shamans who take on the clan name "Yang". They are the only Couatl that are referred as Quetzalcoatl. Normally settling down in one location is considered a weakness for a Couatl, but the Quetzalcatl Shamans are an exception. Their residence is in the Oasis of Yang, where they maintain Yang's lair. The Shamans also hold the unique ability of divination, which is used to settle debates between rival clans.
Followers of Yin however live lives focused on academia. They believe in strong connections with their oceans and family. Axolotl migrate, but only once a year, to head to warmer waters in the winter. Otherwise Axolotl spend their time mastering magic. Their holy figures are Clerics, who only hold the title after mastering all four seasonal magics. As for their duties to Yin only the Clerics know, since Yin's home is in the depths of the oceans.
