Flying Islands
What Are They?
Hundreds of flying islands exist in both Myrtha and Kharae , gracefully journeying through their realms. They reside high above the clouds, making access incredibly challenging for those who seek to explore their hidden wonders. Legends speak of mystical creatures and ancient treasures waiting to be discovered among the lush vegetation and crystal-clear lakes found on these islands.
Origin
The origin of these landmasses remains a mystery. Scholars speculate that they were lifted from the earth during The Deep Sleep by the deities of the sky. However, the reasons behind this creation remain unknown. Some believe it was a demonstration of power during The Great Clashing, while others think it was an act of compassion to provide sanctuary for the defenceless, asleep mortals. Regardless of their origins, these landmasses have since become a vital part of cultural celebrations, symbolizing hope and renewal as each new year dawns.
Invention of Airships
For many years, the enigmatic floating islands remained unattainable. The technology to access them was nonexistent, and no extraordinary god-gift possessed by anyone could pierce the veil. However, everything changed when three bird-folk students—Damir-Basi, Valia-Brahm, and Jour-Txel—engineered the first flying machine, thanks to generous funding from the Queendom of Tahidorj. The remarkable technological skills and creativity showcased left everyone in awe, but in just a few years, their amazement would reach new heights.
As the enigmatic flying islands appeared on the horizon of the mountainous queendom, an opportunity stirred within the students. Alongside a group of eager companions, they ascended to the loftiest peak of the mountain, which perfectly aligned with the largest island, and prepared their airship for the journey ahead. When the island drew within reach, the students pushed the airship into the void, hearts racing as it gracefully drifted toward the ethereal land. To the astonishment and thrill of all, including the spectators below, the airship made a soft landing on the floating island.
The tale of this success rapidly circulated throughout Myrtha and even reached Kharae, igniting a thriving industry for the production of flying machines and journeys to the aerial islands.

OOO do you think thrillseekers would paraglide or skydive from the island to the world below? This has filled me with so much wonder :0
If I’m not revising, I’m probably rewriting a town for the third time.
Haha, even if there were people ballsy enough to attempt that, they have to be pretty wealthy, too! Airships are NOT cheap to hire XD
