Estele (a.k.a. The Gentle One)
Estele the gentle, sleeps by day upon an island in the tree-shadowed lake of Lazuli, located in the center of her husband’s gardens. Her raiment is as grey as her eyes, and her hair shines with a silver light. She is the healer of hurts and weariness, and walks the land by night, bringing gentle healing to all she touches. She harms none, nor does she advocate for harm, but instead loves all equally, tending to the wounds of all who require help, regardless of race, creed, or country. Only to servants of the Lord of Madness will she refuse help. Little grey birds are said to be her eyes, searching the world for those in need of help by day, bringing their news to her when she awakes.
Though a minor Power, Estele is much revered throughout the land by healers, with temples in nearly every city, and shrines in every town large enough to have a healer. Most true worship happens at night, or in the evening, and festivals in her name take place beneath the stars. Besides priestesses of the shrines and temples, clerics will by and large draw their power from Estele, promising to use her power to heal rather than harm. Now and then, an adventurer will swear to fight servants of the Lord of Madness in her name, but most who follow in her steps focus their efforts on healing rather than fighting.
