Elemental Magic

The magic in the air of Mythador. Elemental Magic grants abilities to the now who drinks from the Elemental Springs. The effects only last a short while, depending on how much one drinks, but the ability to hear the rhythms of the elements will remain with the one who drinks for the rest of their life, and the abilities can be regained by drinking more of the water. Their are five known types of elemental abilities; Water, Earth, Air, Fire, and Life. Which ability is gained depends on the natural proclivity of the recipient. A person who is typically grounded and down to earth will most likely receive abilities relating to the element of Earth, while a more fiery personality will gain abilities over fire.

Manifestation

In most cases, the recipient of the abilities will only drink a small amount, just enough to be able to control their element for a moment or two. In such circumstances, the abilities will not manifest in any visual way and will only be manifest in their obvious results. On the rare occasion that a great amount of magic is needed, the abilities will become much more flashy and visible. The user's eyes will appear to glow, and there will be a colored cast to their around them. When they use the abilities there will be a stream of light present, traveling between the user and the object affected. Such uses are rare and far between, but are a magical sight to behold.   The color of the glow will depend on the element used.   Earth will manifest in a purple hue. Water will appear as blue. Air will glow white. Fire will shine red-orange. Life will show itself green.

Localization

The effects will only apply to the air surrounding the user. The farther away an object is from them, the greater the amount of water needed to affect it. In order to conserve fuel, most will only affect the objects in an area the size of a small room.
Earth: ability to move or shape anything made of earth or rock. This includes any stone buildings, or paved roads.   Water: the ability to manipulate water in its liquid state. Includes any water in tavern drinks and stew, but not in living things.   Air: the ability to manipulate and move the air. Some more practiced users can use this to fly.   Fire: the ability to manipulate fire. A very dangerous ability, especially based on the personality of its users. Can create a flame from even the smallest spark.   Life: the ability to manipulate living plants, making them grow or shape themselves in any way the user needs.
