Formally Keeper of Secrets. Currently The Dark Sorcerer Kozen Nightfeather (a.k.a. Atrix)
In the Golden Era, Kozen was a human man with the rare gift of attuning to Magic. Seeing this skill, Locket, the Guardian of Secrets became his guardian and him her Keeper.
Though as time went on, Kozen wished other humans could feel this beautiful connection to Magic. He asked Locket how this could be done, and she was reluctant to share that secret. After promising he wouldn't abuse the knowledge, she told him. His attempts ended up poisoning earth's magic, causing some creatures to go rogue, including unicorns and Dragons, even a few elves. This in turn fed fear to the other humans, and they began hunting the unicorns and Dragons since they were bigger and a bigger threat.
For his crimes, Atrix was sealed away in the darkest depths of Dreams, where he lost his humanity and became the first Mara, a creature that feeds on Nightmares.For years he remained, his only window to the outside being an amethyst, which was turned into a pendant in and purchased by the Griffin Family, where it was passed from generation to generation, until finally it came to Nicolas Griffin.
