The humans of Myteyah are spread out throughout the world. Adapting to their environments. From managing to live in the oppressive jungles, to the frigid frozen mountains of the northwest. They have been able to overcome environmental challenge after challenge. This adaptability proved to fruitful, however they began to elbow into the territories of other species and as the humans grew in number, so did they need for resources. With the humans predisposition to taking more than they need. They made it rather difficult for their neighbors to get their own share.
As a result, other species and other human tribes forced that particular human tribe out of those lands. These humans spent years trying to find a new home, each time they found a new area, they were promptly kicked out. After years of hardship, one of the gods took pity on them and drained an entire inland sea, and gifted them those lands if they would serve them.

That settlement quickly became one of the biggest trade hubs in the world, as naval trade came into prominence.
