My Pledge

I pledge to write at least 10,000 words of worldbuilding on the Mystiary, what I call the bestiary of this world. I have archives of so many Mystimon that I have yet to get up on here and I plan to get that done over the course of December.

I have found a disturbing number of stub Mystiary articles. These must be filled in.

Review or Setup your Homepage

I have begun reexamining the homepage. There are a few things that El and Sibercat often complained about and those will be addressed (finally). One of those things I fought them on, I'm not afraid to admit, but they have won in the end. In the end it will make the homepage better and hopefully attract more readers.

Review your Category Tree

In the spirit of refreshing the homepage to hopefully attract more readers, I also want to overhaul the category tree a bit, in order to make it more reader friendly.

Review or create your world primer article

I also didn't have one or have ever made one before. This is something new for me, and probably well-needed. I am currently in the process of working on this now. This may take up the majority of my november, so I have made it my Rebel goal for NovelEmber! I Rebel against your reality and substitute my own!

Finish all articles you've started this month before December

I'm working on it! There's a lot to do!

Plan your writing schedule

My December is (for the most part, now that my players have roped me into a holiday session) pretty free, so I will have plenty of time to work on this. I hope.

Define your scope for worldbuilding for Worldember

Mystimon Saga is a world full of monsters (or Mystical Creatures with Magical Powers), and at the moment I am only representing a very tiny fraction of all of the creatures I have created over the years on WA. So my plan is to start putting them all onto World Anvil, and start really fleshing them all out more. And really El started me on this journey last year when she challenged me to write up Mystiary entries for each of the 10 Dragon Lords. I got them most of the way done. There are two left that I haven't finished, and those are on my list of stubs. I'm making a list and I am checking it twice!

Get some feedback from your readers or players

One of many things El and Sibercat are great at is providing feedback. And El certainly will provide a LOT of feedback, and has been great at really pushing me to make this world all that it can be.

Do some research on the topics you'll write about

I have been doing extensive research on animal biology and various different kinds of animals and how they might relate to all of the Mystimon I have created in this world and will be working on in December.

What adjectives would you describe your world with?

I would describe this world as expansive. It is certainly nothing like it was when I first started out with it! I would also describe it as extensive, and perhaps hard to swallow at first because there is just so much to it, which would be why I have probably desperately needed a primer for a long time.
