Ishma
For a long time, the mere existence of these creatures was conjecture and myth. Many scholars and Mystizoologists never believed they could exist. But that was because they had never been observed before, despite the fact there had been sightings of them in the Quatrica Islands in particular for many years. The name Ishma comes from the Quatrican word meaning 'dragon fish'. For centuries, there had been reported sightings of these so called 'dragon fish' in the Quatrica Islands, and yet many in the scientific community never took them seriously. That was until Doctor Ivan Sanderson did, in fact, take them seriously.
Ishma are, as the name would suggest, small aquatic pseudodragons. They are rarely ever seen, and little is understood about them. Some believe that they live in underwater cave systems scattered about the Quatrica Islands. However, no one has ever been able to find such caves.

Growth Rate & Stages
They eventually, later in their life, Evo into Ishmana.
Ecology and Habitats
Ishma are aquatic creatures that are only ever seen in the Quatrica Islands. They appear to spend the majority of their time along the shorelines of the Islands, but they are rarely seen. It is said in the Quatrica Islands that to see one is a sign of good luck. Some even make wishes upon them like one would when seeing a shooting star.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They prey upon small fish along the shorelines of the Quatrica Islands.
Biological Cycle
When Ishma are seen, it has most often been in the summer months of Killiran, Elzrava, and Debrial.
Behaviour
Ishma are very timid creatures and very elusive, easily spooked.
Discovery
From the notes of Doctor Ivan Sanderson.
"In the truest pursuit of science, one must learn to have an open mind. Very often what we believe to be true turns out to be false. That is science.
Such is what I learned when searching for the mythical and legendary Ishma of the Quatrica Islands. I too never believed the myth. But I went in with an open mind. I listened to the reports. I listened to the people who claimed to have seen the creatures. For this I discovered that our beliefs were false. The people of the Quatrica Islands spoke true. The Dragon Fish are indeed real.
I can not tell you where they go when they are not swimming along the shorelines of the Islands. It may appear their number is small. But I do believe that there is at least a breeding populace, however small their numbers may be. Now there are reports from the fishermen of the Quatrica Islands of a much larger sea serpent creature in the deep oceans, further out to sea. They call the 'Ishmana', sea dragons. I have to wonder if they could perhaps be an Evo form of Ishma. I will endeavor to continue my investigation."
