Chenas

Chenas is a small weasel-like Mystimon, grey or brown in colour, with big violet coloured eyes, two legs and two forelimbs. It can easily transition between quadrupedal movement and standing on its hind legs. It uses the long hooked claws on its fore limbs to pick up food, usually eggs, and to crack into the shell. Then it uses its two front teeth to suck out the contents of the egg.

Female Chenas tend to be quite a bit larger than males, and due to this they are the ones typically to go foraging for food.

Chenas is only native to the Dream Lands, particularly the Nightmare Realms, but they have often slipped through into the material plane. When they do, they appear to prefer urban environments, but will hide in the shadows and alleyways and feed mainly on garbage.

For the most part, Chenas feeds on eggs, but they can and will eat almost anything out of necessity, with eggs being their most favourite food of all.

They are timid around people, but also exhibit a sly and cunning behaviour. They appear to be quite intelligent, and are known for playing tricks just to get what they want, like the eggs in a nest. They have a natural rivalry, however, with Xiban, and when they spot one they will go on the attack instantly. It is unknown exactly where this rivalry stems.

They tend to group together in rather large family groups but will venture out on their own, usually the females of the group.

They are primarily native to the Nightmare Realm in the Dream Lands, but have often found ways of slipping into the material plane, where they tend to stay mainly in city environments, close to people, allowing them to slip back into the Dream Lands.

They appear to be quite intelligent and cunning, and able to employ a wide variety of tactics to get to the eggs they crave so much.

Their large violet coloured eyes appear to allow them to see things outside of our visual spectrum, such as spirits.

They have a natural rivalry against Xiban and will instantly turn ferocious and attack them on sight.
