Basic Information
Snake-like in design, these large creatures have a cobra's hood crowned with thorns that leads down a strong sinewy body. It has two scaly legs and large leathery wings. Armed with long fangs and sharp claws, it's real weapon the sharp poisonous barb on the tip of it's tail. The extremely potent poison injected by the jagged stinger can kill a creature in seconds, burning through the victims bloodstream and disintegrating veins and arteries on it's way to the heart.
The best known location to find the Wyverns is in
Deinqeth. The large outcropings of white rock that jut out of the tropical waters just outside of
Kruziik Dovgol are littered with a honeycomb of caverns the wyverns have claimed as their nests.
The Wyvern's diet largely consists of the Takii fish which are found in the waters of
Deinqeth. When a wyvern hunts further from the Nests it will seek out prey of a larger variety.
Additional Information
A Wyvern Nest can reach numbers in the hundreds.
It is possible to tame a Wyvern and train them as a mount, but it is a very difficult and dangerous deed often resulting in death. The best option, if this is your goal, is to raise one from an egg.
Getting a baby Wyvern to imprint on you is the safest route, if you are able to get your hands on an egg in the first place.
Wyvern Poison
Poison Rare
Wyvern poison is one of the most potent poisons on Myrth. This clear venom is only discernible from water by it's extremely bitter flavor; leaving the person stupid enough to sample it with a completely numb tongue, but with no other real consequences. The real effect can only be utilized when injected directly into a person's bloodstream. A person subjected to this poison has a matter of minutes to live. It is an extremely painful way to die, the venom burning through the bloodstream and disintegrating veins and arteries on it's way to the being's heart.
