Tahrodiis
Those dragonborn who leave their clan have entered into what is known as a self-exile and are considered a traitor to the clans. These dragonborn are more or less dead to all who knew them and are not welcome back within the territories.
This is a death sentence to any unfortunate soul who contracts slipscale since they will be unable to seek out a cure.
