The Guardians

If the statues in each of the three temples are to be believed, than the Guardians of legend must have been a truly amazing sight to behold! Additionally, these same legends tell that the statues depicting the Guardians are a one to one recreation of these divine creatures. Should this be true, than these Guardians reach a height of 10 metres or more and probably weight more than 20 boars! According to both the statues and records, the Guardians had long serpentine bodies with legs like a Burroden, arms like a Human's, a set of four feathered wings like a Soarion's, the skin of a Lemouille and a face unlike anything known to Terra, including the various disfigured monsters. Describing the face will be difficult, but here goes nothing. First, their nose and mouth are very pronounced ending with a snout much like a wolf's though wider. However, its jaw line more closely resembles that of a boar with wrinkles along the sides ending just where their cheek bones must lie. Interestingly, the interior of the mouth is completely devoid of any teeth. Moving up to its eyes, a pair relatively small reptilian eyes lie in the middle of the Guardian's face. Meanwhile, between the eyes and located in the middle of its forehead, What looks like a massive closed third eye sits just above their brow. What's more, unlike the other two, this third eye seems to open up vertically opposed to horizontally. Immediately, above the massive eye, a pair of horns begin to grow out of from the forehead only to make their way long the surface of the scalp and finally curving upwards ending with a sharp looking point. Beginning alongside the horns, what could be described as hair or fur covers the head down to the nape of its neck and around its large, thin and pointed ears. Additionally, the Guardians have short eyebrows made from the same material. Moving downward from the head, the neck alone must measure roughly 1.5 or even 2 metres. Just bellow the jaw line, the Guardian has a smoother underbelly in contrast to its scaly Lemouillite hide. This underbelly makes its way from the neck all the way to the tip of the tail revealing some muscle structure along the way. The tail, much like the neck, is impressive in length possibly reaching 4 metres alone. As for the Guardian's limbs, its arms are rather robust with exceptionally large looking hands. Each hand only have four digits: three figures and a thumb. Another comparison to Human anatomy is addition of what looks identical to nails at the end of each digit. The legs, meanwhile, share the same double jointed structure found in most quadruplicate animals or even the Burroden people. The feet are line with five digits each ending with a claw. Finally, the wings on their backs. Each Guardian has two pairs; a smaller pair located higher up on their body around the shoulder and a larger pair around what could be considered their waist. Each pair is comprised of thousands of feathers near identical to those of found on the many variations of birds found on Terra.

Old records state that after the war, these great beings live freely all around the land, interacting with the people wherever they went. After the people built the temples for them, these became a point of solitude thanks to their remote foundations. As of the current year, No one alive has seen the Guardians as it is stated in historical texts. Perhaps they returned to the Heavens above where they continue to watch over the world from their divine homes.

Soon after the exploits of the Guardians, the people of Terra begun the religious movement called the Faith of Maka also simply referred to as the Faith.

The Guardians were born into this world during the year 305 A.V. during the apex of the war. From the heavens the trio descended and blessed the surviving people of Terra with the means to regain both protect and regain their land.
