Sauvatta

For some reason, the Sauvatta share many resemblances to a Human or Namuh in body structure and proportions. Their most noteworthy feature is their faces. They have a large heads with a thick brow covering their green eyes. Their noses and mouths are quite pronounced with the tip of the nose pointing upward. The top lips are thick with muscle giving the impression that they have a slight overbite. Additionally, this hides an impressive maw lined with a row of sharp fangs, two of which always remain exposed on each side of their mouths right underneath their cheekbones. At the top of their heads, we have long pointed ears like those of a cat. The head is connected to a strong looking neck however, it is near impossible to see thanks to an incredible mane surrounding their heads from the scalp to the chin. Strangely, the mane is much longer near the back and continues down their spines and end by wrapping itself back around the groin up to the belly. Back near the top, the flowing mane is usually seen dropping down on their broad shoulders akin to a Human's hair. From the neck down, the body seems identical to that of a Human save for the length of their arms which drop down past their knees and their hands which only hold 4 digits instead of 5. Their fingers are covered in what looks to be claws but have been discovered to have a closer similarity to nails. The same applies to their feet however their legs seem to share the proportions found in Humans anatomy. Finally, the Sauvatta are covered in a short fur much like the Burroden.

After expecting the biology of a Sauvatta, it has been determined that these monsters share a kinship with mammals.

No one has ever been brave or stupid enough to even attempt to observe this species's natural growth. The most that has ever been discovered is the theory that they may actually start life as a quadruped before becoming Bipedal at some point in their life.

Thank the stars that these monsters are few and far between. It would seem that they prefer to live solitary lives. However, they are apparently nomadic don't seem to have any particular habitat. Though their encounter is rare, you may often see one of these so called Leoknights roaming the wild in search for worthy adversaries.

The Sauvatta are believed to be omnivore but have a noticeable lust for meat. By stumbling on an abandoned Leoknight camp, we can deduce that they can easily devour up to two adult elks or one adult boar in a single meal. As for fruits and vegetables, no traces have been left behind save for the leaves and stems of what is believed to have been a radish.

Even if fighting to the death seems to be all a Sauvatta would ever want, it seems they are not without a sort of honor or pride. They will never fight in groups, settling a fight one on one and will not attack should their opponent be unwell before a battle.

As a Nomadic tribe, they can be seen all over Terra even around the frigid foothills of Mount Luna Somnum and the blistering cliffs of Mount Sol Somnum.

The Sauvatta are definitely more intelligent than your average monster. These beasts think rationally! This is proven by their surprising and terrifying ability to craft weapons and armor out of iron. Something though only possible by Humans and Lemouillites. (And possibly Burrodens, should they ever try their hand.) Another aspect of the Sauvatta which displays their intellect is the knowledge that they fight for sport. In fact, fighting seems to be their reason for living in the first place. Additionally, they fight with slow methodical movements until the strike with lightning speed with or without a weapon in hand. Should you find yourself face to face with a Leoknight, pray that your skills are great enough or that they see you as a weakling because should they pick you as an opponent, the only way out of the duel is by claiming victory... or death.
