Horse

Sometimes referred to as the heart of the wild, the history of horses and Humans have been intertwined for centuries.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Magnificent and massive quadrupeds found inhabiting the fields of Terra. Measuring around 2.3 metres in height on average, horses are known to be as friendly as they are tall. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of the horse is its long and narrow face. At the end of its face, their large mouths point downward allowing them to easily grasp at the vegetation they eat. Just above the mouth lies their nose and with the nostrils on each side of the horse's visage. Up above and near in line with the nostrils, the horse's big black eyes can be found bulging on each side just above the cheeks. Its ears are found atop the head resembling leaves in shape. The head and torso are connected by a long and thick neck with the top covered in a mane of hair. The mane continues from the neck to the massive torso all the way down to its tail where it flows like a waterfall of hair. Its four legs are long, muscular and end in hard hooves made for running.

Genetics and Reproduction

Horses are mammals and live in a herd.

Ecology and Habitats

Horses are known to live within fields and plains. They can be seen living all over Middterh, in the Torodon valley, in some areas of Heindenselm & Heinddur as well as up above on the plateau of Atlatoth.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Horses are herbivores and thrive on a variety of plant-life. From the green grass to cultivated vegetables, a horse is not known to be fussy eaters.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Horses are among some of the most social animals known to Terra. Not only do they live in herds all their life, they rarely shy away from meeting other species. In fact, Humans have domesticated horses for many years now having just like they did with the Emu and similar to the relationship between Lemouillites and Anaoms.
