Hammond's figure is quite thin.

Hammond has a thick brown beard with a few grey strands now beginning to appear.
Identifying Characteristics
Hammond is easily recognizable by his yellow straw hat and constant wide open eyes.
Physical quirks
Over the years, Hammond has developed what is believed to be a nervous tic where he seems unable to keep his head and eyes from looking all over and around him. Don't be surprised if you are unable to hold eye contact with him should you try and converse with him.

Personal history
Hammond was born in Origin village. His lively hood was nothing out of the ordinary until around his 5th or 6th year, when he swore to have seen a Bibbiten in the woods. Now, every child at some point will express that they saw a member of the legendary Bibbiten people. The inhabitants of Origin village, much like elsewhere on Terra, are split on weather the Bibbitonians exist or not. If they do or don't does not really matter however and the people will eventually let it go.
However, Hammond developed a fascination with these legends unlike anyone had seen before. By the time he had turned 19, Hammond had left Origin village in order to dedicate every waking moment to the discovery of the Bibbiten people.
Education
Hammond attended teachings provided by the Parish just as any other child does. Though he was often distracted during classes.

Hammond seems to have only one goal and he has dedicated himself to it at the expense of his relationship and status among the people of Origin village. Hammond will spend each day in search for any traces of the legendary Bibbiten people.

Virtues & Personality perks
Due to his obsession, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone more capable of navigating the forests of the Cootkatou Region than Hammond. He is knowledgeable about the plant life as well as some of the wild life.
Vices & Personality flaws
Being such a lonesome person, Hammond's ability to interact with other people leaves much to be desired. Nothing crass or rude mind you, just... awkward.
Hygiene
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Hammond is not the most cleanly individual in Terra. Though he claims to wash consistently, his tattered wear and pungent stench are contradictory to his claim.

Family Ties
If Hammond has any familial ties, he certainly has forgotten them and on the other side, no one will admit their ties to Hammond the Hermit.
Wealth & Financial state
Hammond holds not a single grain to his name. However, call it pity or goodwill, whenever Hammond makes his way to Origin village, the people will trade some of their goods in exchange for some of the stuff he collected during his expeditions into the woods.
