Draken
The mythical usurper of the sky.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Images of this monster have only ever been found in history books and stories. Some believe it is nothing more than a legend. The Draken is described as the Usurper of the sky.
Its body is massive and misshapen unlike any other beast known to Terra. Beginning from its chest all the way down to the tip of its tail, a sort of hollow crevice. The tip of the tail is lined with two rows of two long sharp-looking curved spines pointing upward. A thin segmented membrane runs the whole length of the monster's back.
The head of the Draken is intimidating to say the least. It's lower jaw has two prominent rows of four fangs on each side with its true sharpened teeth lying within its mouth. The nose, or snout, is rounded at the tip but, squared near the checks and forehead. On both sides of its face, two undulating lines appear to segment the widening visage. Small eyes lie on each side of their faces within either a strange pattern or a strange shaped crevice. At the back of the head, once again on each side, two giant pointed ears give the impression that this creature might have had excellent hearing.
Looking at the arms or wings of the Draken, it is difficult to understand just how it might have functioned. It's long arms end with hands similar to those of a Burroden's but with only four digits instead of five. Next, the lengths of each arm are lined with a wide and membrane much like the wings of a bat.
Lastly, the legs of the Draken begin wide and thick at the base, connecting to the torso. As you move closer to the front of the leg, it thins out into a sort of crease which runs all the way down to its middle toe. Meanwhile, the foot has two more thicker rounded toes ending with claws on each side of the razor-thin middle one.
Ecology and Habitats
It is though that this monster might have lived in mountainous Regions such as Atlatoth, Waugmala and Tunardun.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Though we may never know what this monstrosity might have eaten, it does not take much imagination to think that it would need a lot of food to survive.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
It is believed the Draken might have had above average hearing due to the size of its ears. As for its vision, the small eyes are theorized to severely limit its sight. If the size of its arms and wings are to be believed, this monster must have been incredibly powerful.
