Ash tree

Properties

Material Characteristics

The Ash tree, or rotten tree, resembles other nearby trees in structure; thick trunk leading to a web of branches spreading across the sky. However, these trees produce no leaves and no fruit of any kind. They are easily identifiable by their black tones and because they are (thankfully) only found in corrupted zones.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Touching an Ash tree is forbidden. This is for the good of everyone of course. While it is said that these trees feel granular and unstable to the touch, it is well known that a simple touch is enough to cause the Ash tree to crumble into black dust or black ash. This black dust is incredibly dangerous as it chokes all life caught within. Depending on the Ash tree, this cloud of death could cover an unprecedented amount of ground. Do not touch these trees. In fact, stay clear of corrupted zones altogether.

Geology & Geography

Ash trees have only ever been reported in cursed or corrupted zones such as the Deadwood of the Cootkatou Region.

Origin & Source

Ash trees are believed to be a mutation from the war or, at the very least, a byproduct of the horrors that were these mutations.

History & Usage

The only thing this dead object seems to be good for is causing more death.
