Apicem' Vallis

Apicem' Vallis is located only a few metres North-West from the base of Frontier mountain. The location exists in a strange valley at the edge of Terra just before the edge of Doomral ravine. The valley or vale is noteworthy for its hundreds of sky piercing spires erupting from the earth. Sometimes called 'stone trees', these spires grow in a variety of different heights and widths. Most of the spires reach an estimated 80 metres with a diameter reaching around 15 or 20 metres. At the bottom of the valley. the earth is only covered in patches of grass, bushes, small trees and the occasional flowers. A few dozen streams snake between the towering spires making their way down the Doomral ravine to the West. As for the spires themselves, they are largely devoid of any vegetation the further up you go.

For the past 100 years or so, Apicem' Vallis has been used by the Soarion as the perfect place to host their flying races. Thanks to the valley's natural formation, the Soarion were able to create a wide variety of courses as well as create races with special objectives. They even utilize the shorter spires for children's race course closer to the bottom allowing for a safe way to practice and have fun. Because of the wide spread popularity of these races, the peaks of Apicem' Vallis have long been decorated with streamers, banners and flags. These serve as both decorations and markers or borders for the races. Additionally, tents and benches have been constructed at the bottom as well as around some of the smaller spires for spectators.

The flying races are, without a doubt, the Soarion's most popular tourist attraction. These races usually occur once every month spanning nearly a week in order to have all racing categories covered.
