Tokal, The Sun Sovereign

Tokal, the Radiant Sun. Tokal was the first of the sovereigns to be made and was the one to usurp the primordial sun dragon. Tokal has seen empires rise and fall well beyond his kingdom in Ashaar. He generally regards humans as lower than himself and unworthy of his attention. He does have favourerd ones such as: his children. Many of his children are Aasimar and are found and then raised by the holy order and militia known as 'The Radiance'.

The Radiance and the Pillars of Shas Carim

The Radiance is Tokal's personal guard and militia within the city of Shas Carim. Many of the generals and higher-ups in the Radiance are children or descendants of the children of Tokal. They see Tokal as the most important Sovereign in all of Myriad. Among those who see Tokal as the epitomy of a mortal, is the Pillars of Shas Carim. Each of the pillars represent an attribute to the mortal make-up. In their attempt to become closer to Tokal, they become a paragon of that attribute. The six of them together comprise of the political group known as 'The Pillars'.

The Godslayer Calamity

During the Godslayer Calamity, Tokal was disinterested in helping the mortals fighting against Anathema and his hordes. His reasoning for not getting involved is the fact that he is afraid of The Stars and what they might say if he had helped out. As a favour to the Crystal Orchids, he agreed to switch places with Feidunn, the New Dawn in order to allow Feidunn to aid the Orchids.
