Herraldo Hidalgo

Name: Captain Herraldo Hidalgo   Age: 73   Background: Herraldo Hidalgo hails from a fishing village on the rugged Stone Coast. Orphaned at the tender age of eight, he grew up in poverty, lacking the stability and support of a family.   Appearance: Now in his seventies, Herraldo's once black hair has succumbed to the passage of time, sporting streaks of silver that create a salt and pepper effect. He keeps his hair long, often tied back in a ponytail or left to cascade freely beneath his tricorder captain's hat. Tall and lean, his body bears the marks of a life spent weathering the elements, with deep lines etched into his face, testaments to a lifetime of adventures. His skin, leathery and dark in complexion, gives him a somewhat Japanese appearance.   Personality: Herraldo is often seen scowling, his face reflecting a hardened exterior. However, beneath this gruff facade lies a surprisingly affable individual who harbors a deep sense of contentment with the path his life has taken. He has been an exceptionally successful smuggler and pirate for over six decades, starting as a humble cabin boy and gradually ascending the ranks of various vessels. In his thirties, he even worked as a privateer in the treacherous Smoking Sea. Despite his achievements, Herraldo remains unassuming and unambitious, focusing solely on making a living for himself and his crew.   Motivation: Herraldo's ultimate goal is to undertake one final grand heist, which would secure enough riches for him to retire comfortably. He meticulously stores his ill-gotten gains with a discreet banker on the bustling planet of Meridia, ensuring his treasure remains safe and accessible.   Demeanor: Known for his cool, calm, and collected nature, Herraldo approaches challenges with a steady resolve. His unwavering composure often instills confidence in those around him. Over the years, he has managed to gather a loyal following of crew members who are utterly devoted to him, a testament to his leadership skills and the trust he inspires in others.
