- Nurusiim (also known as amab'hesimad) – The Lionmen of Nuru. After going through the ordeals to transform into these formidable creatures, true devotees of the Sun God Nuru, are given supernatural strength and endurance along with the visage of a lion. Apedemak was the greatest lion-headed warrior of all time and was turned into a minor deity by Nuru for his strength and piety. He is now often worshiped by the Nurusiim.
- Abnaawaa are jackal-headed peoples who live deep in the deserts and wastelands, adherents to the cults of the many children of Obmhann such as Wepwawet.
