The Mirror Pond and the Ghost Tree

The Mirror Pond and the Ghost Tree is as old as the island itself. No one knows for certain where this tree came from, but it holds great importance to the lore and history of Myranelynia . The Mirror Pond is completely reflective and is said to show the inward person as clearly as the outward. The pond is acidic due to the Ghost Tree's toxic bark. Whenever a branch falls into the pond, it enhances it's acidity temporarily and can burn anyone who touches the water. As a result, no one can go in it or drink out of it. However, there is one merman who can stay in the pond due to the immunity of the acid and must stay there to protect the pond and the Snow Water Stone hidden deep underwater.
