The Force
Different Jedi may have different perspectives on the Force, but the important thing is that they all strive to serve it and bring balance. Although their interpretations may differ, they remain united in their commitment to the Force. There is no need to make a definitive choice between two paths; instead, it is essential to recognize and accept that there are various interpretations.
Living Force
Wherever life thrives, so does the Force. It binds the other pillars together. The Living Force is a binding energy that ties together all aspects of life and is the source of the abilities of the Jedi. The Living Force is the guiding Force for the Jedi. The concept of the Force acknowledges two sides to its power - the Light and the Dark. We honour the Force in all things. To honour the Force, it is essential to understand that the Light and the Dark have differing approaches to achieving great things and find their strength differently. Where we find strength in unity, the Dark finds theirs in chaos with a focus on the individual. Where the Light emphasizes unity, the Dark emphasizes chaos and individualism. The Force finds balance when it is in harmony: balance is not light versus Dark; it is when the Force is in the Light.
Unifying Force Theory
The Unifying Force theory is a concept that posits that the Force is a cosmic entity existing in and around all things, both living and nonliving. This theory states that the Force surrounds us, unifying us and all things and that there is no inherently light and dark, only a neutral force manipulated by the individual's conduct. This concept is controversial by some since it suggests an interconnectedness between living and nonliving things. Believers of the Unifying Force theory have increased faith in fate, seeing this Force as what sets their destiny.
Greater Force Theory
The Miraluka believe that the Force radiates from life and accept the living Force or greater force theory. They also exalt Ashla and Bogan, the two moons of Tython. The Order believes that the Force provides a path, but individuals must use their free will to make choices. It is essential to be mindful of thoughts and feelings to avoid the influence of the dark side, Bogan.
Knowledge
Jedi must draw on their knowledge and wisdom to fulfill their role in the galaxy. Various perspectives can come to light during an event, and the Jedi must pay close attention to the knowledge that is revealed. The knowledge gained from these experiences is a potent tool and should be held onto. This highlights the importance of study and wisdom for a Jedi to perform their duties effectively.
Self-discipline
Control and discipline are essential for mastering the lightsaber. Students must demonstrate mastery of the first two pillars to learn the lightsaber. Self-discipline is necessary to practice the techniques taught by others. Only once one has mastered oneself can one proceed to the next level and take up a lightsaber for the first time.
Self-discipline is controlling one's emotions, desires, and behaviour to achieve one's goals. This involves resisting impulses and having the motivation to do what is right.
Self-discipline also involves overcoming arrogance, overconfidence, defeatism, stubbornness, recklessness, aggression, external loyalties, materialism and curiosity
The process of falling to the Dark Side begins with curiosity. To live a life of honesty, one must learn to conquer themselves. When this is achieved, they can work to honour those most essential things in a Jedi's life and maintain balance in the Force.
We must honour our Promises, Padawans, Masters, the Council and Order, Life and Law.
After bearing in mind the importance of self-discipline and taking steps to make changes, we can seek greater knowledge, balanced in the force.
Once you comprehend the Jedi Code, the three pillars of the Jedi, and begin to pursue the conquers and honours, you will better understand what it means to be Jedi.
Once one comprehends the consequences of straying from the path of light, one can gain a greater understanding of the Force, wherein one's principles are more firmly rooted. This can result in the sense of increased strength and balance.
The Jedi path involves mastery over three key elements. These are the will of the Force, knowledge, and self-discipline. Understanding and adhering to the will of the Force is essential for a Jedi's growth and learning. Additionally, knowledge is better for understanding the Force, oneself, and others. Last, self-discipline is vital for personal growth and in using the Force.
