The Wall

The Wall is a gargantuan structure, stretching miles between the mountains above Ghantrea. Though theories of it's origin differ, one thing is certain - the Wall is as essential to life in Entropy as food, water or air. The Northern War ended after the completion of the Wall, blocking out the evils of the frozen North. Little is known of those beyond the wall, or what is up there - is it a hostile civilisation? Is it a demonic entity? Perhaps the latter is true, after all the tieflings used to be humans, before they were cursed by whatever lies beyond that bulwark.
  It is said that the only people who truly know what is beyond the Wall are the dwarves (whos great mountain cities are believed to emerge on the other side) and the Gods themselves.
  In recent years, there's been a faction emerging who wish to tear the Wall down. If you believe the hushed voices in marketplaces and drunkards in taverns they call themselves the Collapse. Surely it's all just a lie though, after all who would want to destroy our great protector?
  Some say that the first bricks of the Wall were laid by Helm himself in the waning years of the war, shortly before he left the mortal realm.
 

• are those behind the wall peaceful? - those that fought in the War were cursed by demons and their ancestors live on as Tieflings
• are there any messages that get past? - possibly, the dwarves may have paths through the mountains and may know whats on the other side of the wall
• are there any terretories/regions that want it demolished? - The Collapse
• who built the wall? - some say Helm himself laid the first stone during the waning years of the Northern War
• different areas have differing ideas on the Wall - what's behind it, why it exists
• rumours exist that the well itself simply appeared out of thin air, all in one go. Though as it was so long ago, people are dubious
