On the Mountain Path
On the mountain path we set our sights on the horizon
Seeing our journey as we travel across the spine of rock
Making a city of mountains showing us the natural order
Holding onto life as it grips and stretches along its sides
Still we have passage as the earth opens and winds around
Keeping close to home yet flawless and reaching foreword
Setting us abound looking for its treasures holding onto home
Now we seek its guidance as we turn its frown
hoping for forgiveness in leading us back home.
