Gatekeeper's Labyrinth - The Power of Sion
Inside a labyrinth of corridors that opened up into rooms filled with objects inside an in-cased area. At the end of each corridor there were doors that could not be opened with mere strength of body, not even the Astral Body could penetrate them. There was a word for opening doors that sounded like something out of a videogame. Yet it was not of this world since there is no description that can fit its characteristics. Markus spoke the word with ease as if he knew it for centuries. The doors blasted opened and it was difficult to make out what was there. When Markus reached one of the rooms, it was sectioned off by bookshelves that laid bare. Markus turned a corner and seen an entrance to another corridor barred off by something that only fits the description of an Ogre. It was a hostile room. Markus had no problem dealing with forces of this realm, as they simply ignored him or they would vaporize on the touch of Markus' essence. There were others in this labyrinth but they did not know they were lost... Each creature that was vaporized, left behind tools that fit descriptions known as weapons...
There were several weapons from Markus' memory, he counted at least ten different ones. There was enough for two tools per person there that was lost, including Markus. The tools Markus wielded were a longstaff, that was as tall as Markus, and a dagger that was a little longer than the length of Markus' forearm. The dagger had a small handle on it, as if it were able to be attached to the end of the longstaff. There were sai's and twin-blades that were given to another couple of feminine spirits that were young in appearance. There was also a large mace that was like an overgrown bat that was given to an older masculine spirit, and he took a wooden sword as well. There were other tools but Markus' memory could not recall what they were...
Before Markus met up with the other lost souls, he passed through several other corridors carrying all of these tools. After the experience in the first room, Markus was able to discern that things were engulfed in darkness... Yet the darkness was always fleeting as Markus progressed through the labyrinth. Markus could see other beings watching him as if he was a laboratory rat experiment. Markus paid no attention to them. He was able to run on walls with ease and it showed Markus that he was in control. As he blasted into another room, before meeting up with the lost souls, Markus hit a trap that let loose a massive sized boar. Chasing Markus down the previous corridors he was in. The giant boar chased Markus back to the first room, but as they entered the room, the beast was not violent towards Markus. By simply moving out of the giant boar's way, Markus gave it a calm look and the beast seemed relieved that Markus was not hostile or afraid of it. Markus guided the beast towards the Ogre's position in front of an inaccessible corridor. The Ogre paid no attention to the giant boar and let it through. The Ogre looked at Markus with intent but did not move. Markus headed back down to the room where the giant boar trap was released, and found the last corridor before meeting up with the other lost souls.
As Markus entered into the room where the other lost souls were residing, they were in darkness and were fearful of him. Yet one word that Markust spoke, the room and the darkness dissipated. The lost souls became aware of their surroundings and noticed Markus as not a threat anymore. Markus gave out the tools they each were suited to. They all took up positions in a circle as the room was much longer than any of the previous ones. There was a moment of silence as the room seemed to dim out and beings of the dark appeared to surround them. Yet it was nothing of worry. Markus gave one word and the lost souls were no longer lost, they were allies. They fended off the dark energies and were about to progress into the next corridor, when Markus was lifted from this space and put in front of a door with stairs in front of them. Markus simply spoke a word and it opened up into an inclined passage. It had a label to this passageway, it was called Void-Space. Something was told to Markus that this is where the Seven Sages were banished to. Markus reached the end of the incline which was a dark and starry landscape, and in front of him sat The Seven Sages in an odd formation that seemed familiar. It was triangular in shape, the sage that was closest to Markus spoke...
"You are a special being..." and when Markus replied, "That would explain why I am tired of the simian plane..." the sages disappeared and Markus was sent back to a field under the moon. A spirit guide took the Form of an owl and as it landed in front of Markus, it shapeshifted into a light-being. The owl took shape from its arm and perched on its shoulder. After that the light-being dissipated in a flash of feathers and in the Form of several owls. Markus was sent back to his body, not of his own will per-say, but he did not regret it either.
Markus, recalled the incidents, knowing he had a precursor one to it as well. He sat up and walked into his office across the hall. He was at work in the late summer afternoon. It was warm and Markus was outside most of the day. As he stepped into the lobby it was still of decent fill. Markus walked into the store but there was no interaction with people, it seemed barren. He headed over to the office and had a conversation, but there was no memory of it, simply that there was interaction. Markus headed back towards the lobby peering down isles to find literally no one there. Markus passed the courtesy desk and reached the exit of the lobby. When he was outside he noticed there was an individual in the smoke shop, that he did not recognize. Talking with another person behind the counter to say, "I'm here to relieve them for a break." Markus waked in behind the counter and found that the other individual that was there, almost followed Markus through behind the counter. Markus said, "Excuse me, but you cannot come behind the counter." but Markus recognized him. Then it was of no consequence. It stated, "I have no need to be here, since you are the relief for the other person." There was another interaction that happened and then Markus stated, "You do not need to be here , nor are you legally allowed here." but this did not bother Markus. He simply stated the fact of this reality. The individual nodded and had another interaction with Markus and left the smoke shop. Then Markus sat down and began an introspection of himself and that is when he was pulled into the Labyrinth once more...
Markus finds himself pulled into the Gatekeeper's Labyrinth, where he became separated from Ghan... This did not seem to faze Markus due to the fact that the Power of Sion made it so the Labyrinth ran on a different timeframe than the one unfolding in Myd'raal. This mysterious structure made up of Archways and Doorways that lead to other pockets of the multiverse...
"...This Book of Seraphine, enclosed belongs to the long forgotten lineage of I, Alice, and my descendants. One of which belonged to Isabelle Alice Seraphine, Matriarch of the Gatekeeper, mother of Markus Alistar, Son of Ewan Alistar. We focus our attention here to give a full spectrum of the anthology of the Sion Trinity, one of which belongs to the House of Seraphine. Forrester and Deston follow this same lineage of the Trinity. Our story encompasses all the works of the Seraphine line with Markus, the Sion Trinity Guardian... the Trion Titan Gatekeeper..." - Quote from Book of Seraphine.
